The Mock Interview

Status: Last Monday, I was shocked with the news on the notice board which informed that all the medics and dentistry students will have a mock interview session on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The panels were the previous ky headmasters and some of them I was quite uncertain.

So, my session was yesterday with Mr Tony Finch at classroom 2.1 at 2.40 pm.

On that day, I think, most of MARA students will be interviewed by him, so I asked Effah whose session was in the morning about her interview. From Effah's way of telling me about hers, Mr Finch seemed to be a nice person. Effah was asked about the ethical issues of abortion and euthanasia. Being not so sure still about my interviewer, I asked Anep and Husam for their feedbacks too after solat Zohor. Hahh, nampak tak kegigihan aku di situ mencari maklumat. Anep dengan Husam told me that the person was very nice as they felt the interview was a chill conversation between two persons. 

So, relief I was for a moment.

2.20 pm

I was waiting at the common room waiting for my turn after my friend, Amalina.

I supposed to be interviewed at 2.40 pm but I was called earlier and enter the room at 2.30pm.

Me: *knocking the door

Mr Finch: Come in. Please be seated. 

Me: Good afternoon sir. How was your lunch? (I smiled sampai rasa lenguh plak)

Mr Finch: Great, the food was delicious. So, you are Nur Syifa.............. And you are going to read medicine. Are you?

Me: Yes I am. 

Mr Finch: (he read my ps and asked things according to my ps)

Basically I think I can answer most of the things about my ps as I only wrote what I knew and what I experienced.

Mr Finch: The university, in order to find a student to be recruited, they want someone who is committed and who they think will not say, "I have been trying for two years and I don't think that I want to do this anymore". Medicine is a sacrifice. Do you think that you are a committed person and how are you going to prove it?

He also asked me about my job attachment. What have I gained from the experience?

And I was not asked about any ethical issues. Oh, but I was asked about the comparison of healthcare in Malaysia and UK. And some about the bedside manner. Lastly, he asked me if I have any question for him and I asked about, "If I am planning to do attachment or housemanship in Uk, am I allowed to?" and  some other questions yang I can't remember the exact details.

Fuhhh, the interview finished after 35 minutes which exceeded the scheduled 20 minutes for the interview. Luckily, I masuk quite awal. Alhamdulillah, it was a nice experience. Thank you Mr Tony Finch. He was a teacher at KTJ and now he live in Seremban. We talked about my hometown too. hehehe...

Hope to do better for the real interview. InsyaAllah. Amin....

The Guardian

Status: I am in my chalet, alone, reading, packing, listening to mp4, then sleeping, waking up again and cleaning the room.

First of all let me confess, I was never been in the cinema before. Heh. 

And yesterday was my first time being in the cinema which was GSC at Midvalley and I was kind of excited. Ahah. My very actual plan was to watch "Istanbul Aku Datang" sebab Beto Khusyairy kan yang berlakon but anyhow anyway, after a serious liaison with my fellow college-mates, Fau and Tikah, we decided to pick a cartoon by Dreamworks instead. And I always love cartoon so, there we went.

Rise of the Guardians

And this was the movie that I watched.

Best sangat2.. Haha.. Jack Frost was so hot. Dah la guna Chris Pine's voice, I'm then proudly to say, Dreamworks, you made it again. I mean after "How to train your dragon", this movie was entertaining!

But kids, don't believe everything about the movie. For them, they might have five guardians and whatsoever, but for us as Muslims,

our Guardian is always the one and only, the Eternal,

Allah swt.

p/s: One week to go before kiasu holidays! May Allah eases everything.. =)

Don't die yet

Status: Hari ini rumah aku buat majlis aqiqah untuk anak sedara yang sudah tua, so, sesapa yang free and berada di Kota Bharu dan nak datang, anda semua dipersilakan. Eheh.

Status: Currently at home sweet home. Yeah I know, I'm not supposed to balik but anyhow I'm home. heh.

Last weekend, as I already mentioned earlier in my previous post, Muscom held a program at Sk Lembah Beringin, Azri self-named it as Program Menyerlah Jauh dari yang Biasa. Well, there were not so many students there, every darjah was approximately 20 something, around there. So, in my case, I was assigned by Kak Pah (Ulfah) as the module planner, to handle standard 3, together with Fad. 

Our group (standards 1, 2 and 3)

Ulfah, Amni, Mursyi, Fad, Jida, Aisyah, Syifa, Imran, Husam, Ayap.

Basically, we underestimate the capability of bebudak darjah 1, 2,3 and we plan to do all games. Yet, we buat program main puzzle, scrabble, tengok upin ipin, pecahkan belon, sketsa, musical chairs, story-telling and lots of nyanyi (hahaha) And what makes it more lawak is that we practiced very hard for the lyrics and the moves for nyanyi session in the surau the night before the program. Luckily there's no Adib or Ustaz Maliki around. 

Alhamdulillah, the program went very well. My adik-adik in my group were awesome, we won 3 main activities of the day and they also gave me a part of their winning prizes and that was wayy too sweet.

They were Syabil, Afzan, Nabilah, Najla, and Hani. Some of them already added me at facebook, well, technology huh.

Hikayat hujung minggu

A week had passed since the raya holidays. And today is Saturday which I do not realise it is coming. Therefore, hello Mr Saturday.

Today Ustaz Malikie invited us Muscom and some Sc to his house in Lembah Beringin for BBQ. What a luck. haha.. Went there at 2.30 pm and arriving there, we the women folks didn't know what must we do. I'm not telling that we were lazy but the males are so rajin. Cheers for them! We had Ayap and Maworld who refused to let the females taking over their job of 'membasuh ayam' while the others were preparing for the tempat membakar, arang, and so on. What left were only me had to susun some pinggan mangkuk and cawan-cawan dalam kabinet and Diyana Amalina yang menjadi tukang membancuh air sirap. Eheh.

The days went on as my group leaded by Ulfah finishing the puzzles that we are going to play with the standard 1, 2 and 3 of SK Lembah Beringin tomorrow. Yup, Muscom organises an event or should I say Motivational Program to students of SK Lembah Beringin. Hopefully it will happen smoothly. 

Regarding Sports Carnival, I think I am being very supportive this year. I went to the baskeball matches every night to cheer for my beloved Spideys. They were awesome, but still we managed to hold the title for the first runner-up only. Big claps for Diamonders for their awesome performance.

Exhausted yet very happy. Long live happiness!
